Actress. Kristin Landen Davis was born on February 23 or 24 (depending on the source), 1965, in Boulder, Colorado, Her parents divorced when she was a baby.
She was adopted by her stepfather, psychologist Keith Davis, after he married her mother, Dorothy, a data analyst, in 1968. Davis moved to Columbia, South Carolina, where her adoptive father served as provost and taught psychology at the University of South Carolina. After graduating from A.C.Flora High School in 1983, Davis headed to Rutgers University. Then it was on to New York where paid the bills working in classical and contemporary theater and starring in commercials.
Kristin Davis got her big break in 1995 when she landed the role of Brooke Armstrong Campbell on TV's Melrose Place. Davis also appeared in Friends and Seinfeld. In 2009, she played Lucy in the film Couple's Retreat.
On the popular Sex and the City, Davis portrayed Charlotte York, an art dealer who struggles with her inhibitions as she confronts New York City's single scene. She revised the role for an original theatrical film in 2008 and in 2010's Sex and the City 2.
Davis has been linked to several men, including Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin, but has never been married.
